The drama. Oh the drama.

Electra went to have a glass of wine with Mark. Mark was friendly but conversation was slow, and he did not do much to make things better. Because of his mental scar, he did not know what to ask her or how to react to anything she said, and so there were some awkward moments every now and then. All in all, not a great date.
When they were saying good bye, he gave her too long a hug while rubbing her back and intimately whispering "mmmmh.... nice...."
Huge turn-off.

So this morning, she sent him an email she had been postponing since Friday. Saying how she was not feeling very well at the moment and she was coming up with something, and how, to be perfectly honest, she was kinda tired of the whole dating thing, and how she had been dating quite a few men lately and it was all getting a bit much lately.
His reply was yet again a bit too lengthy and elaborate, but the gist of it was quite terrible. It started out telling her he was the best guy in the world, he would give her all the time she needed, he was not one to be pushy, no pressure whatsoever.
Then, the second half took quite a different turn. He wanted her now. Now. He wanted to sit next to her in a dark movie theater, he wanted to feel her up and he wanted to make love to her. Make love, not have sex, make love. She would have to decide, he told her, what will it be, the one or the other.
Feeling utterly violated and about to vomit, Electra knew that this man would have to be eliminated from her life. She therefore decided to ignore the email and brush him off somewhat gently later tonight.
Mark, however, wanted to see her now, and wrote another email, offering to make her smile now. By now, Electra was feeling pretty disgusted by Mark, men and meet.com, so she left the computer and went to watch an episode of Mad Men, only to be interrupted seconds later by a text message from Mark. It said:

The last email. Yes or no.

Electra turned her phone off.

  1. The attention a woman loves, oh how easily it goes awry. Wish we could couchpotato all day and watch dvds! hahaha
